Art Direction
Airbnb’s pop culture program (FKA Only On Airbnb) began as a gorilla marketing campaign, creating larger-than-life versions of iconic spaces which before had only existed rent-free in people’s minds. Hogwash was tapped to elevate each experience with experiential creative direction and content production for organic social, product, and press materials.
As Art Director on the program I lived inside of each IP for months. Even now I can tell you exactly what Shrek sat in front of when he ate his iconic slug… I worked closely with each experiential team to create fully immersive and pixel perfect experiences. I was also responsible for creative ideation of content, storyboarding, on-set art direction, and creative oversight of post-production for all photography and video assets.
These projects ranged from Shrek’s Swamp and Ken’s DreamHouse to Seth Rogen’s LA ceramics getaway and House of Sunny’s Dream Closet. Each experience with a unique aesthetic, voice, and audience calling for new a creative strategy and approach.
